THE OVERTURE COLLECTION - STATIONERY
The Overture Collection is a trio of handmade stationery designs inspired by the overtures of musical composition. Like the orchestral opening to a larger show, these individual stationery cards are meant to be the beginning of a larger conversation. In a newly social-distancing world and one in which messages to politicians are increasingly important, The Overture Collection signifies the excellent prelude that each one of us will give to a deeper discussion, to bring us all closer as people.
Each design leverages actual crests from antique early 19th century French bookplates and paired with a wax seal or hand calligraphy lettered in walnut ink. Each sheet is handmade with natural deckle edges and paired with a handmade envelope for an Old World artisan feel.
