Please contact me through the Contact Form and tell me a bit about what you're looking for. Remember that hand calligraphy takes quite a bit more time than normal handwriting and printing, so it's best to reach out early to provide plenty of time before your deadline.
All projects require a brief consultation prior to providing a quote. We'll cover timing details, your vision and my capabilities, and swoon over all things paper and script. After our meeting, I'll provide you with an overview of your selections, a timeline, a quote, and anything else you might need to make a decision. A deposit fee or payment arrangement will be established to hold your spot on my production calendar, and off we go!
Every project is unique, and we'll agree on a schedule that works for both of us. But trust me, this is the most fun part!
investing in your memories
Please see our Custom Calligraphy and Day-Of Details page for more information.
Every project is unique and custom invitations are tailored for each client. Your total investment for any save-the-dates, invitation suites, day-of details and custom calligraphy will be determined by a variety of factors: Quantity, design, paper choice, printing method, embellishments (wax seals, ribbons, etc.) and any other additional services. During our free consultation, we can discuss more about your budget and my capabilities to determine the best direction for you.
The typical client who invests in a full service package with The Ambrosia Rabbit can spend an average of $2000-$5000. We recommend having a solid budget planned within that range, but don't let that scare you if you are still on the fence! We are available to walk you through all the options to consider all your choices.
A standard full suite proposal may include the following:
Our current minimum investment for hand calligraphy is $500.
Day-of details (menus, place cards, seating charts, table numbers, bar menus, gift tags) can be a blend of calligraphy and printed type, and are priced per piece.
Every project is unique and timing will vary based on the scope and my production calendar. All projects will be contracted with an agreed upon timeline that will work for your event schedule. Rush projects may incur an additional fee.
Typical turnaround time for an average calligraphy order is 2-3 weeks.
Turnaround time for a custom design is ~2 months and excludes material sourcing timing.
It is highly recommended to start the conversation at least 4-6 months before your deadline, so that we can build in consultation, concepting/designing, and production time.
For custom invitations, we highly advise booking us at least 4-6 months before your mailing deadline (not your wedding date). The ideal time for you to start the conversation about custom invitation orders is 10-12 months before your wedding.
Due to the custom nature of all of our work, we do not offer refunds or returns.
If The Ambrosia Rabbit is designing a custom invitation for you, we require owning the entire process from start to finish and will print for you. This is meant to provide a hassle-free and streamlined experience, save you the headache with any printing/design inconsistencies, and to allow us the oversight to ensure the best end-product for you.
If you have a finished piece that you would like The Ambrosia Rabbit to calligraph on, we can collaborate with you! Please note that calligraphy ink is sensitive to specific papers and will require testing prior to commitment.
Absolutely! The Ambrosia Rabbit has serviced clients all over the country and my work has traveled to destinations as far flung as Australia, Greece, Japan and Hong Kong. For international clients or destination weddings, please allow for an additional 1-2 months on top of the typical production lead time for - international shipping and customs can greatly impact timing.
